I wanted to wish a Happy Father's Day to all the dad's out there and especially to all the new dad's and soon-to-be dads. Jon is training in New Mexico so he is not home today. I'm trying not to be too frustrated by the situation. We know with the deployment he will miss one of everything (both our 30th birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, 4th of July in FL with the family, mother's day, father's day and of course Miller's b-day). But b/c of training this year, he has also missed his birthday, mother's day and now father's day. So that's two years in a row of days I find important. I know any day can be Father's Day but that's not really the point. Anyway, I'm sure this goes without saying (if you know me or have read this blog very long) but I have an amazing father and now Miller is blessed with an equally incredible daddy. I don't think Jon ever questions his impact on Miller b/c that kid thinks his daddy hung the moon. Daily he tells me (unprompted) how much he misses his daddy and how his daddy is his best friend. So Happy Father's Day to the two best daddies around!
